Relaxing after our first tournament since hurricane Ian - January 2024
An exceptionally large King Mackerel caught by Sanibel Fishing club members Charles Sobczak and Mike Layton. Close to 40 pounds and 4 feet long the fish was caught over a natural ledge 30 miles off Redfish Pass. 20 pound test line was used with 30 pound test leader and a #3 hook.
2025 results: Jerry Vadnais is the leading angler as he came in first again in the March in shore slam tournament. Captain Bill Schneider's boat can in first place in the March tournament.
Jerry Vadnais was top angler again in the March 'In-Shore Slam' tournament. Lauren Schneider took second place. Jerry and Bob Stern are in a close race for Angler of the Year with Lauren now in third place.
It is a two-person race for Captain of the Year with Bob Stern having a slim one-point lead over Bill Schneider.
